On 28 August 1296 he swore fealty to England's King Edward I as Patrik Flemeng whose signed alongside men from Dunbartonshire.
His only other known act was to witness a charter of William de Forz (a son of William, Count of Aumale) in relation to an estate at Eddleston in Peebleshire.
He was likely a son of either Hugh of Dalnottar or his brother Simon of Lectehtwerling and probably a brother or cousin of Walter and Duncan Fleming (neither of whom signed the Ragman Rolls).
